Ballet

Island Dance Academy follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. The syllabus has been carefully structured beginning at the PRE- PRIMARY level for 5-year old’s, PRIMARY level for 6&7-year old’s and continuing on from grades 1 through 8. Students may also phase into the Vocational levels following grade 5. The students are trained not only in classical ballet but, free movement and traditional character within the structure of the ballet classes.

Classical ballet allows the students develop poise, flexibility, strength and discipline, which are necessary not only for ballet but all other forms of dance.
